Dangerous Goods Load Compatibility Chart
Look down the vertical column on the left until you find the appropriate class. Then move horizontally to the right until you find the clumn headed by the other class. If the resultant box is red you cannot load or store them on the same vehicle. Refer to the footnotes when a letter appears in a box.
A - May be loaded together if kept at least 1 metre apart
B - Keep aluminium gas cylinders apart from caustic bases (Class 8)
C - Do not transport Nitromethane (UN1261) with toxics (Class 6.1)
D - Must be ready accessible during transport
E - Must be loaded according to the transport groups in accordance with the Explosives Regulations
F - Must not be stacked on top of other goods
G - Loads above 5 000kg must be subdivided in stacks of n more than 5 000kg with an air space of at least half a metre between stacks
H - Loads above 5 000kg must be subdivided in stacks of no more than 5 000kg with a space of at least half a metre between stacks or subdivided by non-dangerous
I - Transport must be in compliance with international regulations governed in SA by the National Nuclear Regulator
J - Concentrated acids and bases must be kept at least 1 metre apart
K - DO not load with foodstuff or stockfeeds
L - Cynides must not be transported with acid
Notes:
Goods of different classes must be segregated by an air space of at least 100mm or by an approved segregation device or non-dangerous goods.
